8 family-friendly Martin Luther King, Jr. Events happening Monday Jan. 20
A performance by the Boston Children's Chorus is just one way you can celebrate Martin Luther King this year.
Striving for peace, inclusion, and harmony between all people, King's words and example of non-violent protest have inspired generations, and his legacy continues today. Join the celebration at one (or more) of the following:
"Martin Luther King Day," Children's Museum in Easton, 9 Sullivan Ave., Easton. Mon., Jan. 20, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. $9; under one and members free. . Celebrate diversity and the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. by working together to build a community art mobile that will be a reminder of his dreams.www.childrensmuseumineaston.org
"MLK Day: Children of the World Doll Workshop," ArtBeat, 212A Mass. Ave, Arlington. Mon., Jan. 20, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. $15 per person, includes all materials. Celebrate the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by making a doll from anywhere in the world. Ages 8 and up (younger with adult helper).
